These unique spoke nipples are manufactured exclusively for SimWorks by Hoshi Kogyo, the last spoke maker in Japan and the only manufacturer of spokes that have NJS approval.

A typical brass spokenipple is post-processed by plating but our friends at SimWorks asked toleavethe brass material raw, which is suitable and handsome as is, and develop the natural patina and oxidized aging characteristic of brass.

A brass nipple without plating will be a little softer than a normal nipple, so please keep this in mind if you’re a heavy-handed or inexperienced wheel builder.
