After a very long absence due to USA-produced aluminum shortages, these 100% stunning cranksets are finally back in stock!

Phil Wood crank arms and chainrings are machined from solid, US-produced 7075 billet aluminum put through special processes to maximize hardness and minimize internal material stresses, producing a crankset with maximum achievable rigidity.

Each crankset is made from start-to-finish at Phil Wood’s facility in San Jose, CA to the same extremely high quality standards Phil Wood and Co. applies to all of their products.

Quantity is VERY limited.

Due to the specialty nature of this item, Phil Wood cranksets are not returnable.

Bottom bracket compatibility info

Based on our first hand experience installing and using this crankset over the span of many years, we’ve determined that a 103mm Phil Wood bottom bracket installed centered in the BB shell produces a perfect 42mm chainline.

We’ve seen other sources recommend a Phil Wood 108mm JIS bottom bracket and of course, this will work if a little more chainstay clearance is needed but will result in a chainline closer to 45mm when centered in the BB shell, which a lot of people freak out about (even though it’s not a big deal).

The cups on a Phil Wood bottom bracket can be adjusted from side to side by about 5mm, so it’s possible to push the entire crank over to the left to dial in chainline a little bit when using a 108mm spindle but by doing so, the crank is no longer visually symmetrical to the frame, and that’s also something nerds will complain about. YMMV.
