We believe most handlebars are overbuilt to avoid being crushed by the stem since most stem clamp designs have a nasty habit of gouging the handlebar. We realized we could make better products by addressing that crucial interface between the two. DUET is a handlebar and stem system. Its lighter than the one-piece bar/stem combos spec’d on many XCO World Champions bikes. Aside from serious weight savings, you benefit from the adjustability of separate components.

The 75g DUET stem distributes clamping force much better than any other stems we tested. The more complex shaping of the clamping area and associated force distribution improvement is the magic that led to our uber-lightweight, 139 gram DUET handlebar. The DUET handlebar should only be used with the DUET stem, since weve designed the carbon laminate to function safely with the optimized clamping characteristics of the DUET stem.
