Always depressurize air and damper circuits before disassembly. If your shock or fork is still pressurized, removing the eyelet, sealhead or opening the damper in genreal can cause injury or damage.
Designed for 8mm shafts used in forks, dampers, and some coil shocks. Not compatible with air shocks unless the eyelet is removed. Most air shocks require a horizontal shaft clamp instead.
Product photo shows a 3/8″ (9.5mm) clamp, actual 8mm version may differ.
This clamp securely holds 8mm shafts in your bench vise for service. Ideal for removing eyelets, damper pistons, rebound assemblies, or air pistons in forks. It fits tightly and safely, when used properly.
Tip: Some Cane Creek DB Coil models now use a 9.5mm shaft instead. Confirm before clamping, 8mm clamps will not fit oversized shafts.

Match Your Torque: Use our luggage scale torque calculator to safely estimate torque on your eyelet or damper shaft.
Reminder: Improper cleaning, oily shafts, or using the wrong clamp size will lead to slippage and clamp damage. If it doesnt fit easily, double-check your shaft diameter and ensure the clamp is fully seated.
