You’ll never need this much reach on a typical track bike but if you’re riding a MASH Steel or Veloci Old Street with big honkin’ tires and don’t want to use a cantilever brake, the R559 is a high quality long reach dual-pull caliper with refillable cartridge-type brake pads.
This is also what you’ll probably need if you’ve converted an old road frame designed for using 27″ wheels to 700c.
However, it’s a few hairs too short to use on a Skream Ranger fork. For a Ranger front brake, you’ll need the Dia-Compe BRS-202.
